Conventions of a digipak advertisement (3)

Britney Spears' album 'circus' is a great example of an album advertisement that creates an image around it. The old fashioned styled poster is a reference to old advertisements for events that are deeply rooted into our entertainment culture, such as the circus. This poster style could also be hinting that Britney is going in a new direction, where she is more experimental and outlandish.
